Kohima, August 13 (MExN): The State IEC Bureau under Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima conducted school infotainment and on dengue awareness in 17 Schools and 15 Focus Group Discussion sessions were held with the students under Chümoukedima Block, Dimapur from August 8 to 10.
In the observance of the Anti-Dengue Month in the District under Dimapur National Vector Borne Diseases Control Progamme, as part of the Infotainment, a skit was developed by the State IEC Bureau Team which aims to create awareness on Dengue, how it is spread, preventive and control measures, importance of using LLIN mosquito net and other precautionary measures. Awareness talks and distribution of IEC materials and poster campaigns on Dengue were also carried out.
The IEC Bureau Team was led by Supongbenla Lemtur, Dy. Director, IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, Kohima along with 15 IEC officials.
