Kohima, February 28 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima observed the National Science Day on February 28 on the theme ‘Science and Technology for Specially Abled Persons.’ The programme was organized by the Ecological Club of MITE at the College Auditorium.
The programme was chaired by Shikna, Student Teacher of Sem-II. The Principal Devanand Sinha delivered speech on the theme. He also emphasized upon the new innovations and discoveries in the field of Science and Technology and highlighted on Seven Earth-like Planets discovered by NASA and 104 Satellites launched by ISRO, India making India self-reliant in Space-Science. The other speaker Grace Dawman, Student-Teacher of Sem-II has emphasized on the need and importance of Science and Technology in our daily life.
An extempore speech was also organized on this occasion and Enakoli Kiba, Student-Teacher of Sem-II bagged the 1st Prize. A video recording was shown on the topic “Ill-effect of Global-Warming”.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks from Kiboto L Awomi and benediction by Vikedo.
