The state’s science & technology department felt the need of a proper set up Science Park in Kohima along with Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur side by side.
Initially, it targets to build up the Science Park with the installation of innovative and exciting exhibits with the intent of advancing the knowledge on science and promoting technological and economic developments.
According to the Annual Administrative Report 2018-19 of Directorate of Science & Technology tabled in the third session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the idea of developing of a Science Park is to promote advance knowledge on scientific wonders and bring innovative ideas into reality.
This facility can be comfortably accommodated within the Science & Technology Complex as there is sufficient space, the report stated.
Hence, the report stated, as part of 100 days initiative, the department has set up a Science Park at S&T Complex Kohima and the installation of exciting, innovative & play and learn exhibits are underway.
