
DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) has informed that following a meeting with the Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along on May 9, assurance was given that a science block at Dimapur Government College would function from the next academic session onwards.
A press release issued by DNSU informed that it had met the Minister to put forward a representation addressed to the Commissioner and Secretary, Higher Education, Government of Nagaland concerning science block at Dimapur Government College.
The representation was regarding the failure on the part of the state government and the concerned department to make functional the proposed science block at DGC which was inaugurated on November 12, 2020.
The students’ union at the meeting also highlighted how, many students who want to pursue science stream are compelled to seek admission outside due to lack of it in the State's colleges.
The students’ union further met the Commissioner & Secretary, Higher Education and shared the same concern along with the representation letter at his official chamber.
