Chümoukedima Two Wheeler Taxi Association office was officially inaugurated on October 19.

Chümoukedima will soon get a scooty taxi service. A group of youths have come together to form body called the Chümoukedima Two Wheeler Taxi Association (CTWTA), the office of which was officially inaugurated on October 19.
Menuhokho Hibo, pastor, Model Village Baptist Church was the special guest at the event held at the MK Complex, 5th Mile. While lauding the move, he encouraged the association to use the forum for the service of the public. “Whatever we do, we have to bear in mind that we are accountable to God in all our conducts. Do it for the service of the public, be safe and do it with pride,” he said.
Calling for maintaining integrity in the functioning of the office and the service it seeks to provide, he said it should be free of bias.
CTWTA President, Kehodi Yoho, described the fledgling association as a platform for progress, unity and service with the objective of providing efficient public transport service, besides creating an employment avenue for the youths.
The association is affiliated to the Nagaland Two Wheeler Taxi Association.
He informed that driver registration will begin by next week. It will be open to both men and women, who should be atleast 18 years of age. Male applicants must have atleast one year of experience, and females must have two years of experience. Plying permits will have to be obtained from the relevant government authority.
