Kohima District Bharat Scouts and Guides with others during the observance of ‘World Thinking Day’ at the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Headquarters Kohima on February 22.
Kohima, February 23 (MExN): The Kohima District Bharat Scouts and Guides observed the ‘World Thinking Day’ also known as the ‘Founders Day’ under the theme ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ at the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides, State Headquarters, Bayavü Hill Kohima on February 22.
The programme was chaired by RR Apollos, District Training Commissioner (Scout) Kohima and Kenei Solo, Guide Captain Mezhür Hr Sec School welcomed the gathering. Khriesanyü Pienyü, District Organising Commissioner (Scout) Kohima shared on the significance of the day.
Vote of thanks was pronounced by Roshmi Rana District Guider Kohima. At the end of the programme the gathering reaffirmed the Scouts and Guide Promise and sang the Scout & Guide Taps. Scouts and Guides from different troop and companies along with Unit Leaders, District Officials and State Officials attended the programme.
Khriesanyü Pienyü, District Organising Commissioner (S), Kohima in a press release stated that ‘World Thinking Day’ is observed annually on February 22 under different themes by the Scout and Guide organizations all over the World as it is the Birthday of both the founder of Scouting Movement Lord Baden Powell- Chief Scout of the World and his wife Olave Baden Powell- Chief Guide of the World.
