Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): The Annual Sports of S.D. Jain Higher Secondary School Dimapur got underway at DDSC Stadium, Golaghat Road, Dimapur on April 4. Ajay Sethi, School Secretary and Managing Director of NIIT Dimapur inaugurated the Annual Sports week by hoisting the School flag. In his address, he encouraged the students to develop the fighting spirit during the sports week to prepare oneself to face the tougher challenges in future life. He also told the students to never give up on one’s own goals set in life irrespective of whatever may happen in between. Vikas Jain, Joint Secretary of the school lighted the symbolic replica of the Olympic Torch. The other highlights of the Opening Ceremony were Contingent March Past, Oath taking, cultural song and dance performances by the students. The welcome address was delivered by Reji Abraham, Principal of the school. The event will conclude on April 7.
