SDSA rejects memorandum, warns govt

DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): Renewing its earlier demand to revoke the appointment of non-local candidates from the recently held DPC for recruitment of primary teacher under MNA district council, the SDSA today demanded the filling up of the vacant posts with local candidates without further delay and also to declare the penal list.

Responding to a memorandum signed by P.C. Lawnkunga, Principal Secretary (Hills) Government of Manipur in which Sl. No. 7, 10, 15 and 31 of the recommended candidates were revoked till further orders for recruitment of primary teacher, the SDSA today stated that they are not interested in the temporary revocation of non-local candidates and that they will not compromise with its stand.

The association while rejecting the memorandum further questioned the sincerity of the government in resolving the issue. The government rather then confusing the public with its non-committal delaying tactics and testing the patience of the student body should come clean and clarify as to when the government will fulfill the commitment earlier given to the student’s body stated a release issued by Jonah Mao, General Secretary SDSA.

The association has further warned the government that it will intensify its agitation if the demand is not met at the earliest.
