Search continues for missing woman

The search for a woman, who was reported missing from Mon town on March 30, continued for the third day on April 1. While the whereabouts of the woman remained unknown, as on Monday evening, new details emerged, giving rise to hope that she had not come to harm. 

An employee of a bank branch in Mon town, she was reported missing after she did not report to office on March 30. As per the police investigation, her personal mobile phone was found in the rented apartment where she lived, while the apartment reportedly did not reveal any sign of struggle.

Checking of CCTV footage by the Mon police provided vital clues to locate her last known location on March 30, the day she was reported missing. Per the CCTV footage, she boarded a taxi to Dimapur on March 30, morning. Mariani in Assam’s Jorhat district was her last known location, where she repotedly got down sometime before noon. As per the Mon police, this was confirmed by the driver of the taxi, and other passengers, which she boarded in Mon. 

Going by the available evidences, the Mon police informed that search was on in collaboration with the Assam police.
