Nagaland’s lone Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio today complimented the Sechü Zubza Youth Organization (SZYO) for attaining 50 glorious years and numerous achievements made during the last fifty years.
Addressing the SZYO 50th Day as part of 50th anniversary celebrations of SZYO at WAPO Ground, Sechü Zubza, Rio was appreciative that the youth came together in unison to compete in various discipline of games and sports through this 50th anniversary celebrations, which kicked started on December 9 and concluded today. He called upon the youth to involve in the field of games and sports with sincerity and commitment and take it as profession.
Regretting that the Naga youth are yet to make its presence well in the national and international level, he called upon the sportspersons to rededicate themselves to reach to such levels.
He said the government is all out to nurture the talents of the Naga youth and promote games and sports in the state. Rio assured that the government is with them and urged upon them to perform well. He also unveiled the SZYO 50th anniversary monolith, which was dedicated by Pastor Khriengulie Kuotsu, Sechü Zubza Baptist Church.
Earlier, SZYO president Megoneituo Kielienyii delivered presidential address while Sechii Zubza Village Council chairman Mhasikhotuo Zhiinyii shared greetings. T. Jalie Kielienyii, former president SZYO pronounced elderly blessings. Another former president Seyievilhou Sirie also spoke on the occasion. Organizing committee convenor Petevi Meyase chaired the function while vote of thanks was proposed by SZYO advisor Vitsiakho Meyase.
