The second phase of free medical health camp (check-up and treatment) under the initiative of MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso took place today at Chandmari, Kohima for the residents of Ward 12 and 13.
The medical camp offered consultation and medicines, home service for bedridden and elderly patients, BP & sugar check- up, blood test, ultrasound, ENT screening and dental check-up. It also featured cervical screening by Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Nagaland branch.
Addressing the introductory programme at Multi-Utility Hall of Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima, Dr Ato said that he had travelled every corner of Nagaland and helped the people with health check-up and operation through Chief Minister’s Mobile Operation Theatre (CMMOT) initiative.
Dr Ato, an elected representative from 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency, said that his team will continue to deliver health care service to the public, especially the weaker section of the society.
This medical camp aim to build a healthier and stronger community. Sharing the strength of his team which consist every Naga tribe, he said “If we work together unitedly, we can achieve big things.”
With your support and cooperation, we will continue to do such kind of service in other parts of our constituency, he said.
The next phase of the medical camp will cover AG/Lerie. Similar medical camp was conducted at PWD ward on May 23 last.
Earlier, Santu Thapa, president Gorkha Public Panchayat, Sameer Thapa, General Secretary, Chandmari Gorkha Union, Merentemsu Jamir, executive member Lower Chandmari Council, Noketho Zhotso, president Upper Chandmari Youth Organization and Ainato Yeptho, president Lower Chandmari Youth Organization also spoke at the programme. They thanked Dr Ato for his noble job for the community.
The programme was chaired by Lilly Zaphu while Kezhaletuo Yano, Associate Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church, Kohima invoked God’s blessings.
