Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton today inaugurated the Secretariat Park near the entrance of Nagaland Civil Secretariat during the golden jubilee celebration of Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA) in Kohima on December 10.

NSSA, President, Chubasangla Longkumer thanked the state government for allowing the NSSA to adopt and maintain the Secretariat Park and the Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs for the upgradation work carried out under AMRUT Project. This park is an ideal site for visitors, secretariat employees to relax and work free from stress, she said. Stating that the park still needs attention in many areas, she made an earnest appeal to various authority and the Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs to continue assisting the Association to further upgrade it.

The dustbins in the park have been donated by the NSSA batch of 2014. The newly planted trees and potted plants have all been donated by the members of NSSA to beautify the park and today's Jubilee stage arrangement. The NSSA batch of 2007 has made special contribution of 50 potted plants towards this venture.
