Four apprehend with smuggled teak wood in Nagaland

Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): Security forces in joint operation with Police apprehended four individuals with illegal teak wood in general area NH-29, at Jharnapani, Chümoukedima district on June 26.

According to a press release from the PRO, HQ IGAR (N), based on as specific input, Security Forces conducted a joint operation with State Police during which four individuals with four truckloads of Burmese Teak wood worth approximately Rs 2 crore were apprehended. The items were being smuggled from Manipur to Dimapur, it said.

The four apprehended smugglers along with confiscated goods have been handed over to Forest Department Chümoukedima, Dimapur range for further investigation, the release stated.
