Security Zone (5Th Bn. N.A.P,) Phek Under Darkness For More Than A Month

•-I am a common man and it is the bitter truth that in our State nobody cares for us. We have experience that the rich become richer and the poor becomes poorer day by day but for all this I don’t know, whom to blame? Sometimes we can see the government taking initiatives to uplift the poor but in the midst where does this goes its is a question mark (?) and the real sufferers are the common man.
Here in 5th Battalion Nagaland Armed Police, Phek the same is prevailing for more than a month in accordance with the power supply. Before one month the transformer was burnt down and till today it is not yet repaired or replaced. I as a common man cannot do anything except making the awareness campaign via media. Some of the official sources say that it will take again one more month, some rumors spreads that it is on the way from Kolkota but till today there is no sign of it.
The results of almost all the schools under Phek district are out and we have experienced that more than 60% of the students from NAP camp goes to different schools and their results are the most affected as they did not get power supply to prepare their lessons during Mid-Term Examination. The remaining 40% of the students are studying in Holy Care School which is administer by the Battalion were also affected worse.
I don’t mean to hurt anybody but want to bring out the truth that we are living in an artificial world where I can say that electricity is the other means for survival. The government should take initiatives to replace or repair the transformer at the earliest as the summer break has already been commenced. For students the only means of entertainments are learning computer, playing games, watching TV etc. but without power do you think that the students of the remote area can be able to cope up with the students of urban areas.
