Seeds distributed under Aspirational dist prog in Kiphire

Kiphire, July 10 (MExN): The Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan distribution of soyabean mini kits and rajma in Aspirational district of Kiphire was held at District Agriculture Office, Kiphire on July 10.  

DIPR in a report stated that the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS said that Kiphire is one of the aspirational districts in the country which was selected by the Government of India in order to bring prosperity and economically sound district in Nagaland as well as in the Country.  

He encouraged the 25 Villagers who attended the programme and said that the village identity is the economic growth and the unique strength of the community. He also said that the district cultivation is mainly focused in rajma and maize. He called upon the villagers to keep their interest in cultivation of crops and stated that the administration will carry out inspection along with District Agriculture departments where the best grower Village will be awarded.  

Meanwhile, Seyochung, Sitimi and Singrap Villagers extended invitations to inspect their field cultivations anytime. He also encouraged the villagers to make their villages into model village, green village as well as clean village.  

The DC also informed the villagers to be prepared with presentations before the Department officers. Both DC and Joint Director Agriculture department thanked Dr. K. Manoharam, Director Directorate of Jute Development GOI, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Kolkata for visiting the aspirational District despite.  

Joint Director, Directorate of Agriculture Nagaland, K. Renphamo Kikon in his short speech said that the Agriculture Department is working for the benefit of the public to grow good crops and to maintain their economic growth. He also highlighted that the Department has constructed the Seeds distribution Centre attached to the DAO office. He also assured to construct another seeds distribution centre and encouraged them to use the organic manure for their crops.  

The Soyabean mini kits seed was distributed by AFA DAO office Kiphire C.T Setsiba. SDO Civil Kiphire also spoke in the programme. The Keynote address was given by Dr. K. Manoharan, Director, Directorate of Jute Development, GOI, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Kolkata. Vote of thanks was pronounced by SDAO Kiphire, Phramasie. The programme was presided by DAO Kiphire, R. Santsu Kithan.
