Sekrenyi Mini-Hornbill festival enters day two

The second day of Sekrenyi Mini-Hornbill festival here today was marked by cultural extravaganza in the form of traditional song (Angami) competition, Act Play on “Themia Puo Kelhou” and Traditional & Ethnic Designer show.
Today’s programme was managed by Angami Students” Union (ASU). Thinuokhrielie Yaotsu, proprietor M/s T Albert Angami & Co graced the occasion as the special guest.
The Act "Themia puo Kelhou" which translated to "Virtues of a human life" was presented by Kohima Village Students Union (KVSU) Drama club depicting about how "Sekrenyi" is celebrated, being passed on from one generation to the other.
Meanwhile, Northern Angami Students’ Union stood first position in Tati competition while Western Angami Students’ Union and Southern Angami Students Union stood second and third position respectively.
Special appearance was made by FBB Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland 2018 Ruopfüzhano Whiso, Miss Nagaland 2019 Vikuonuo Sachü and Mr Kohima 2019 Kevingunyii Mere.
The ethnic designer show witnessed the products of six young designers from the Angami tribe. It includes Keneisenuo Dzüvichü, Japuno Zinyü, Aso Tsürho, Kedorovino Punyü, Kevibeinuo Tseikha and Neisavonuo Rüpreo.
Meanwhile, cultural extravaganza will start from 5:00 PM on February 27. It will be managed by Angami Youth Organization.
Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, chairman Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board will be the special guest.
The event will witness “Exploring Angami’s musical heritage.’ Atso Chasie will also be part of the event as special appearance.
