SATOI, JULY 4 (MExN): The introduction programme of semi-intensive Mithun farming was held at Thsuruhu Village under Satoi sub division, Zunheboto. 

Delivering the key note address, Dr H Inato Jimomi, joint director AH & VS and principal of VFATI emphasized the importance and value of semi-intensive Mithun farming with practical demonstrations, a oress release issued by the Thsuruhu Village Council informed. 

Shikato Rotokha, Advisor of TMMFS, encouraged the farmers and members with his invaluable practical experiences in Mithun farming.  Earlier, the program was chaired by Hokishe, VC, and a welcome address delivered by Vikügha, GB of Thsuruhu Village.

Meanwhile the Thsuruhu Village Council and Thsuruhu Model Mithun Farmers Society members expressed its gratitude to Dr Girish Patil, Director ICAR-NRCM, and his team of eminent scientists comprising Dr Kobu Khate CTO, Dr Jayanta Kumar Chamuah, Senior Scientist, Dr H. Lalzampuia Scientist, and others for extending invaluable technical, financial, material, and livestock seed support and enabling them to reintroduce Mithun farming in the village.

It also expressed gratitude to Dr H. Inato Jimomi, Joint Director AH&VS and Principal VFATI for his guidance, persistent efforts, and initiative.
