
Jakhama, November 25 (MExN): Department of Sociology, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama organized a one day seminar on ‘Communal Harmony’ as part of campaign week and Flag Day on November 25 at the college Auditorium.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Sebastian Ousepparampil, Principal, delivered the keynote address while there were ten speakers from various departments’ representatives. The programme started with registration, distribution of flags and stickers and collection of money. The money collected is to be donated for the needy children affected by societal violence. The programme also saw narration of folk tales and presentation of Naga folk song by the department students.
It was attended by 346 students represented from other departments of the college, apart from other dignitaries and invitees.
