Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation International (LFI), Dimapur organised a seminar cum interaction programme on the topic ‘Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures: The STEM Way’ on November 13.
A press release from LFI Information Desk stated that the programme aimed at promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, underscoring its importance in equipping students with the skills needed for a technology-driven future.
Resource person, Prof Shalabh, Dean of Academic Affairs, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur shared insights on the pivotal role of STEM education in shaping future innovators and problem-solvers.
Prof Shalabh also shared details about IITs in India with particular emphasis on IIT Kanpur as an elite institute providing state-of-the-art educational facilities for students aiming for higher education in diverse career prospects.
Ajay Sethi, Managing Director and Er Rishabh Sethi, CEO of Nationalist Institute of Technology & Innovation (NITI) also joined as resource person.
The session also included an interactive segment, allowing students and educators to engage directly with the resource persons to gain practical perspectives on how STEM can be a transformative force in education.
NITI also announced special educational and career guidance programmes for NEET or JEE aspirants and scholarships for meritorious students of Nagaland by NITI.
Students and teachers from several CBSE schools from Dimapur and adjoining areas participated in the programme.
