Kohima, December 3 (MExN): A seminar on learning disability and special education was organised for teachers of Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School, Kohima with Tumchobeni Ngullie, Proprietor, Genesis Early Intervention Centre, Kohima as the resource person on November 30. She is a Specialist in Early Intervention and Special Education.
An overview of Understanding Special Education and Classroom Management was provided, with stress on children with an invisible disability such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability, and Intellectual Delay.
She said teachers can positively impact the lives of Children with disabilities if they are understanding and compassionate.
