A one day seminar on the topic ‘Mental awareness and parenting’  and  ‘General well-being of women’ was organised by Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhüng (KLEE) on July 8 at Indian Red cross building  conference hall, Kohima.

W Nyanchumi  Kithan, former women leader, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church  and Areni Tungoe, research scholar and recipient of Prof Erika Voigt Young Scientist Award  2021 were resource persons of the seminar.

Talking on the topic ‘General wellbeing of women, Kithan elaborated on the various common elements found in women by researches across the world and stressed on the different responsibilities of women spiritually and physically as a wife and mother. 

She further reminded that women are like a tree with many branches which only she alone can balance to mould all the branches.

Areni said mental health or awareness and parenting is the need of the hour in the present situation since maximum of youngsters are becoming victim of depression and anxiety. Earlier, KLEE president Renboni Ezung delivered the welcome address. Around 200 women attended the seminar.
