Jalukie, March 7 (MExN): The Department of Political Science of St. Xavier College, Jalukie organized a seminar on ‘role of youth in peace building’ on March 4, at College Hall. The resource persons were Martha Caceres and Mohit from Liverpool Hope University, UK. The focus of the seminar was to enhance the youth as peace builders of the society.
The introductory session was an exposition on the principles of Gandhian non-violence. The importance of relationship in peace building, the active role of youth, social media approach towards promoting peace and others perception were effectively highlighted. How to resolve conflict by way of understanding others' perception was dramatized. In the concluding session students shared the platform as instrument of peace by picture display.
