Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): Hope Spring India with Living Waters Canada concluded its one day seminar on the theme, “Same Sex Attraction: Ministering with Compassion and Grace” on September 19, 2011 at IMC, Dimapur. 129 participants from various Bible colleges, Churches, youth groups, NGO’s and ministries attended the seminar.
Resource person Tye Gamey, talked on God’s original intention for relationships and human sexuality, followed by understanding the developmental stages of homosexuality and understanding the dynamics of sexual addictions. He stressed the importance on how the Church should act as a healing community to those that are sexually broken. The Director of Hope Spring, Lima Jamir concluded the evening with a note of appreciation to all the participants. He also mentioned, “This seminar may not be one of the greatest or most well organized seminar, but I strongly believe that it was a good beginning, an eye opener to many local churches and organizations on how to reach out and minister to those that are sexually and relationally broken people. Hope Spring does not condemn nor judge any homosexuals that are living in gay lifestyle but we do not condone or support anyone living in sin”.
