Seminar under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme at Wokha held

Wokha, November 29 (MExN): Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the District Administration Wokha in technical collaboration with Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Government of Nagaland and its training partner Emporium Skill Training Institute, Kolkata and Makeover Academy, Siliguri organised a seminar on employment through employment opportunities at Town Hall, Wokha on November 29.  

Operations Manager-India & international, Anirban Mukherjee and Business Development Manager, Suresh Sundas were the resource persons.  

Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS stated that the reason of the programme is indented to make the adolescence girl and those school dropouts to give them trainings so that they can start their livelihood. Under this programme five-six groups are identified and are been trained at various places in Wokha town. He added that some SHGs were also recently trained in paper bag and pickle making to make them economically independent.  

The DC urged the young girls to be aware about the importance and issues of adolescence girls club and appealed those who are not part of the club to join the club, as it will be very beneficial and develop their personality.  

Shortly we will have adolescence girls club in all the blocks with the purpose to teach the girls about the issues, he informed and called for dissemination of information about the life skill which they have acquired.  

Operations Manager- India & International, Anirban Mukherjee enlightened the students about getting job opportunities available in sectors like, aviation, food catering, beautician, make-up artist stylist and hospitality.  

It was also informed that empanelled with Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, GoN the Emporium institute located at Dimapur imparts vocational trainings with best faculty team with great industry experience. The age group from 18 to 30 years can join the Emporium Institute to undergo trainings free of cost skill development training for women under PMKVY scheme and apprised them about the documents required for the same. Later registration was also done students willing to undergo trainings at different sectors.  

Business Development Manager, Suresh Sundas, also dwelled on empowering unemployed through to be self-reliant through relevant skill training and job opportunities.
