Sendenyu Lojvü Students' Union 43rd general conference cum felicitation programme for HSLC & HSSLC successful candidates was held on October 16.
Tseminyu, October 16 (MExN): The Sendenyu Lojvü Students' Union (SLSU) held its 43rd general conference cum felicitation programme for HSLC & HSSLC successful candidates on October 16 at Sendenyu Village Council Panchayat Hall.
The programme commenced with the unveiling of monolith by Kegwayhun Tep, NSF President, who also graced the occasion as special guest. Prof G Thomas Thong, HOD Geology, Nagaland University, exhorted the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Tep encouraged the students’ community to work hard and have commitment which will empower them to achieve their goals. He stressed on the need for the village students body and the villagers en masse to work together collectively alongside the educational institutions within the concern jurisdiction and to further monitor the responsibility of teachers in order to uplift the quality of education being imparted in rural areas.
Heiko Kent, President, Rengma Students' Union shared his concerns and encouragement for the students' community present. The programme was chaired by Shoruno Thong, General Secretary, SLSU and welcome note was delivered by Asa Bukh, President SLSU.
Altogether 38 successful candidates in the HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2021 were felicitated by the Education Secretary SLSU, Kesholo Thong. Eunice Thong and SBYD presented special song, stated Media Cell, SLSU in a press release.
