In the Senior Men's Inter-District One Day Tournament 2024, held at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Tseminyu faced off against Longleng in a thrilling encounter. Longleng emerged victorious by just 1 wicket in a nail-biting finish, a press release issued by the Nagaland Cricket Association informed.
Arjun Kumar Yadav's outstanding performance earned him the ‘Player of the Match’ title, contributing 20 runs off 22 balls and clinching a remarkable 6-wicket haul. Tseminyu posted a total of 115 runs for 10 wickets, with Ntsenlo Semp top-scoring with 42 runs. Longleng chased down the target, scoring 116 runs for 9 wickets.
With the conclusion of the qualifying rounds, Mon from Group-A and Longleng from Group-B secured their spots in the final rounds of the Senior Men's.
Wokha dominates at Boys' Under-16
In the Boys' Under-16 Inter-District Multi-Day Tournament 2024, hosted at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, Wokha showcased dominance against Zunheboto. Wokha set a formidable total of 196 runs for 9 wickets in their first inning, while Zunheboto struggled to respond, managing only 77 runs for 10 wickets.
In the second inning, Wokha continued their strong performance, scoring 220 runs for 6 wickets and declared, setting a target of 339 runs. Zunheboto, in their second inning, could only manage to score 30 runs for 10 wickets. Wokha emerged victorious by a massive margin of 309 runs.
