In the first match at Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur bowled out Tseminyu for just 78 runs in 27.2 overs after choosing to bowl first. Tseminyu struggled throughout their innings, with Kenendi Apon’s 25 runs being the highest score. Dimapur’s Tahmeed delivered a standout performance with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 18 runs in 6.2 overs, and Hopongkyu Sangtam added to the pressure with figures of 4/21 in 10 overs. In the second match at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Mokokchung chose to bat first but was bowled out for a low total of 115 runs in 41.2 overs. Despite a patient knock of 40 from Nihal Rai, Mokokchung’s batting failed to accelerate, and they were unable to build any significant partnerships. Wokha’s bowlers, particularly Hayithung Ezung, who took 4 wickets for 20 runs in 7 overs, kept Mokokchung’s scoring in check. Wokha chased down the target in just 24 overs, finishing at 116/4. C Abemo Kikon and Nchumbemo Humtsoe anchored the chase, with Kikon contributing 30 runs and Humtsoe remaining unbeaten on 40 runs.
Both Dimapur and Wokha’s victories were driven by strong bowling performances and composed batting in chase. Hopongkyu Sangtam from Dimapur and Hayithung Ezung from Wokha were named Players of the Match for their exceptional bowling displays.
