
KOHIMA, October 13 (MExN): Senior Tatar I Toshi passed away on October 13 at his residence in Mopungchuket village after a prolonged illness. He was 73. The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) issued an official condolence message, mourning his loss. In a statement, Yirei Lungleng, a Tatar from the FGN, said, Toshi, son of Imnaangen from Mopungchuket Village, joined the Naga National Council (NNC) and the FGN in the 1990s. He faithfully served the Nation till his last breath as a Tatar. Besides, he served in various capacities as Dy. Chaplee Kilonser and Medical Kilonser of FGN. Lungleng described the late leader as an outspoken national leader and a close friend of mine. His untimely demise is a great loss for the Nation and community. Yet his true sacrifice and patriotic services rendered to the nation shall always remain alive in the annals of the Naga nation, he added. The FGN prayed that God grants peace and solace to the bereaved family and that his soul eternally rests in peace.
