(Morung Photo) Morung Express News Mon | November 28 An awareness and sensitization programme on gender issues and perspectives was held at Wangkhao Government College, Mon on November 28. The programme was organised by the Gender Champion Cell of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The programme was chaired by Herali Achumi, Assistant professor, WGC, while the introductory address was delivered by Dr. KN Nekha, Vice principal, WGC. The nodal officer of the Gender Champion Cell, Tiakumla Jamir, Assistant professor, WGC was the keynote speaker. The main thrust of the talk focused on the launching of the Gender Champion in the college, which is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India. The programme ended with a lively interactive session where the Faculty and the students actively participated.
