Wokha, November 27 (MExN): The Wokha District Administration in collaboration with Lotha Eloe Hoho, Social Welfare department organized a sensitization of girl child on education and seminar on women empowerment through employment opportunities under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was held at Yanthamo village community Hall under Wokha district on November 27.
EAC, Wokha, Tumben P Tsanglao, while delivering during the seminar said that the success of any schemes, policies and programmes depends on the active support and participation of the people. The Government of India with an objective to promote educates and safe girl child under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao have introduced many programmes to facilitated girl child, he called upon every right thinking citizens to extend support for the success of the programme.
He also informed that on November 29 a seminar will be held at 10:00Am at Town Hall, Wokha which will be held in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, Skill India, national Skill Development Corporation and PMKVY as training partners. There will be consultancies for availing training and placements on hospitality, aviation, food catering, beautician, make-up artists and stylists.
He also informed the seminar will be organized targeting especially for girl child from age group of 14 to 25 years having a minimum qualification of 8 pass or 12 pass and even schools dropouts, he called upon all to attend the seminar and avail the opportunity. He also appealed parents to encourage their children’s to take part in such events when the government is providing such platforms to promote them.
During the function sanitary pack/kit and nutrition’s supplements were distributed by the District Administration and Social Welfare department.
Short speech was also delivered by President Lotha Eloe Hoho, Zuchobeni Ezong and Sr.Supervisor, CDPOI Office Wokha, Erenbeni.
