An advocacy and sensitization programme on social network model with stakeholders at Pungro town was organized by Kripa Foundation, I TECH India PATH, NSACS and SASO at Pungro town on February 18.
Speaking at the programme, Kyupise Sangtam, Project Director, Achomong Welfare Society informed that the foundation will start implementing the targeted intervention for injecting drug users at Pungro subdivision from April 2022 onwards.
Stressing on the importance of community participation to reach the targeted section of society, Kyupise urged upon civil society organisations, churches and stakeholders to actively participate and extend cooperation towards the programme for the prevention of HIV and other disease that permeate the society.
He called upon the people of Pungro subdivision and neighbouring villages to avail the facility provided by the foundation by visiting the drop in center for the health and wellbeing of the community.
He also said that very soon full-fledged drop in center office will be open in Pungro town so that interior villages where road connectivity is not available can seek the service provided by the foundation at Pungro town itself.
