Sensitization prog on COVID-19 vaccination in Mokokchung town

Mokokchung, July 27 (MExN): Mokokchung District Task Force on COVID-19 organized a sensitization programme on COVID-19 vaccination for all unvaccinated government employees under various offices at Mokokchung Hq at Town Hall, Mokokchung on July 27.

A DIPR report stated that delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir said that the objective in organizing the programme was not to forced anybody to get vaccinated but to have interactions so as to sort out and clear the minds of the people had there been any problems or doubts that holds them back to get vaccinated. 

Dr Yanger, who was the resource person, gave detail explanations on the importance and advantage of getting vaccinated. He said the only solution to combat the incoming third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is to get every eligible individual to get vaccinated. He maintained that vaccines are proving to be efficient against hospitalization and death. He disclosed that most COVID-19 deaths in the district were those unvaccinated.

After the programme, 26 people were vaccinated under the supervision of DIO Mokokchung, Dr Ayangla Saku and Dr Yanger. The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Mokokchung, Sentilong Ozukum.
