
Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): A sensitization programme on Nagaland Health Project was held on June 27 at CMO’s Conference Hall Dimapur.
Dr. Vizole Soukhrie, Project Director, Nagaland Health Project introduced the project to the members and gave a gist on the project’s objectives which is to supplement, strengthen and assist the existing State health service delivery system and is not operating as a duplicate or different entity . He urged the District Authority to identify and train the right person for the right assignment. Dr. Atoshe Sema, Addl. Proj. Director-NHP and Dr. Thomas Keppen, M&E Officer- NHP as resource persons sensitized the members on the objectives and programme implementation activities of Nagaland Health Project.
Dr. Atoshe Sema informed that the objective of NHP is to improve the health services and increase their utilization by communities and also envisioned to improve the health system services delivery by investing in multiple areas such as enhance communitization, water sanitation, solar energy, supply chain management, capacity building etc. He further stated that the Project also envisioned strengthening the community involvement in improving access to health care and improving health and nutrition outcomes.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Anotly, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and officials who attended the programme includes; Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer, Abino Khate, District Facilitator and various District Programme Officers under CMO Dimapur.
