Kohima, April 29 (MExN): Nagaland Users’ Network (NUN) in collaboration with Treatment Action Group, New York, conducted literacy programme on TB with the program staffs of NUN's targeted intervention on April 28 in Jakhama town. Participants from the users’ community, program staff, and student body representative attended the program, a release from NUN Advocacy Officer, Renbonthung Tungoe informed. Stressing on the need for intervention of HIV/TB as part of their usual program, the resource person emphasized on a comprehensive approach to combating this dual epidemic to be part of one’s responsibility in their daily activity. Topics discussed were the different types of TB, different categories of treatment, services available in the government set ups, benefits and advantage of treatment, diagnostics and testing.
