Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): The All Nagaland Ad-hoc Teacher’s Group (ANATG) 2015 Batch, comprising of 1166 members, will abstain from work if their demand for service regularisation is not fulfilled by the Government of Nagaland on or before May 11.
The teachers’ group, in an ultimatum served to the Advisor, State’s Department of School Education, also vowed to start exercising their fundamental rights in the form of protests, agitations and “own course of action.”
“If any unwanted circumstances arise, the ANATG shall not be held responsible,” stated the ultimatum signed by ANATG 2015 Batch President, Rüguotsolie and Asst. General Secretary, Tosoyol Sothü.
It further noted the 1166 aggrieved teachers have been rendering their services with utmost dedication for the past 8-9 years with a meager fixed pay salary of Rs. 6700 and Rs. 8400 for primary and graduate teachers respectively.
Despite the length time and service rendered, the teachers are still getting the meager salary while “some posts of teachers who were appointed after 1st July 2017 were granted scale pay,” it maintained.
ANATG further noted that it is in full knowledge of the Education Department that its members have fulfilled all the criteria, terms and conditions directed to them in terms of required professional trainings and testing. The suitability test was conducted by the department on May 20, 2017 and spot verification of documents carried out on May 22, 2017, it informed.
Thereafter, it was cleared by the P&AR department and only awaiting cabinet approval, it added. The ANATG 2015 Batch has approached the state government several times regarding the issue but “we are still disregarded, unaddressed and denied justice till date,” the ultimatum added.
In this connection, the ultimatum has set May 11 as the deadline for fulfilling its demand.\
