Seven schools declared tobacco free in Wokha

  WOKHA, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The quarterly review meeting of District Tobacco Control Cell, Co-ordination committee, Enforcement Squad & Flying Squad (NTCP) Wokha was held on December 5 at DC’s conference Hall. Deputy Commissioner Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS) chaired the programme. The quarterly report activities of the DTCC and guidelines for Tobacco Free Schools was presented by Dr Meribeni Odyuo Sr Dental Surgeon & DNO NTCP, stated a press release from DMO Wokha.   Seven Schools in the district were declared Tobacco Free Schools - DBHSS, Perennial Montessori School, Mt. Carmel High School, Cistus High School, Grace English High School and Springdale High School, in addition to the previously Tobacco Free declared schools - Mt. Sinai School and Isaiah Ability School. The members discussed ways for better enforcement activities and the initiation of Tobacco Free Zones in the district.
