Kethosituo Sekhose with winners and organisers of the Open TT League - Season 1.
KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The first Open Table Tennis League – Season 1 concluded successfully on September 7 at Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium with Seyievilie Seyie emerging as the champion after an exciting ping pong duel between Ricky Hinglak (1st runner up).
The 2nd runner up title went to Ihubuing Haikube. The Player of Motivation title was awarded to the singles lady player Thejavinuo Rio who competed along with 32 registered players. Altogether 240 matches were played in 3 days for the Champion title.
Earlier in the program preceding the finals match, the guest of honor, Kethosituo Sekhose, NCS, Director of Youth Resources and Sports exhorted the players to play fair and with sportsmanship spirit. He also informed of plans to build a proper stadium which can accommodate more disciplines of sports, while reminiscing his love for table tennis.
The Open TT League – Season 1 was sponsored by veteran players with a total cash award of Rs 24,000 along with certificates awarded to the players and organized by the Kohima Table Tennis Association.
