Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): Medical Officer of Seyochung PHC, Dr. Apila Sangtam, and nurses of the health units and ASHA under Seyochung block, Kiphire district had been actively involved in carrying out Village Health Nutrition Day (VNHD); monitoring and evaluating villages under their blocks since last December. This was stated in a press release issued by District Medical Officer of Kiphire, Pezanguno Celine Secü.
Pezaguno mentioned that during the visits, basic health care services and medicines were provided to the villagers, and IEC materials were also distributed. Health talks on Immunization, Exclusive breastfeeding, Family Planning Choice, importance of Institutional delivery and JSSK services were discussed, she said. The team last visited Seyochung Village on March 16, and Phisami Village on March 17.
