Shalom Mission School’s Annual Sports Meet kicks off

Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Shalom Mission School, Doyapur kicked off their Annual Sports Meet on February 24 today at the school ground with Major Lolit Chandra Deori, Officer in charge, Assam Riffles Doyapur as the special guest.

The sports meet will conclude on February 28.

Speaking on the occasion, Major Deori said that a healthy body creates a healthy mind and encouraged the students to play with true sportsmanship and reminded them to have discipline in life.

He also urged the students to give importance in team work in building good personality and go beyond the horizon to achieved success in life, a press release from the school said.

He further donated some sports materials to the school for the sports meet along with refreshments.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Convenor, Arun Kumar Dharma while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dipak Sarkar, Secretary Sports Committee.
