Shamator, June 14 (MExN): St Xavier Higher Secondary School, Shamator began its annual games and sports meet 2023 on June 14 with Pauding Zeliang, EAC Shamator as special guest.
On the opening ceremony, he said, “this games and sports is very important event, it only occurs once in a year so as a student, should use full utilisation of the opportunity provided by the school. From sports we learn many things and values such as leadership, team work and spirit of brotherhood.”
“In Nagaland now we have many emerging talents in the field of sports and in small district of Shamator there are many talented and gifted skilled people,” he said and urged the students that not everything is class activity but games and sports is very essential part of the life.
Akum, Pastor, NAP Baptist Church, invoked God’s blessing. Senior students of the school performed the choreography of the day. Public forum officials and students union of the town witnessed the opening ceremony of the sports meet.
