Shamator Town without any admin officer since June 10

DIMAPUR, JULY 18 (MExN): The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) and the Shamator Town Students Union (STSU) have written an open letter to the Nagaland State Chief Secretary expressing concern that Shamator town has been left without any administrative officer since June 10.

The two organizations informed that the then Additional Deputy Commissioner and the Extra Assistant Commissioner had to leave the station after conducting the farewell programme on June 10, 2017 to join their duty in their new posting as per the government order. “Since the administrative officer of Shamator Hq. was nowhere to be seen in the recent reshuffle, the people of the area are undergoing untold problems, the students and the common people are at the receiving end. It is surprising to say how one of the oldest towns in the state could be left without any administrative officer to handle the administration in such a place,” they added.

The STPF and the STSU urged upon the responsible authority to do the needful within the earliest possible date for the welfare of the public service “otherwise many personal and official works will be jeopardized.”
