Busted! Former cricket great Shane Warne has admitted to spending a weekend in LA with British actress Liz Hurley after Herald-Sun readers spotted him flying back to Australia on Sunday Jan. 16.
Asked by the Herald Sun about the getaway at Crown's Aussie Millions Poker charity fundraiser, Warne, 41, replied, "Yeah, I know we've been busted,” but chose not to answer any further questions on the subject.
News.com reports Warne’s pals as saying the weekend went “very well” and his romance with Hurley, 45, was back on. "Let's just say he was pretty happy," said one friend. And Hurley? She let her 72, 000 Twitter followers know her verdict. "A great weekend. Best in a long, long time."
The pair’s fledgling romance had previously been canned in Dec. 2010, when Hurley caught the spin king sending sexual text messages to a married Australian woman. She dumped him and again took to Twitter to confirm she wouldn’t be flying to Australia any time soon. “Bored now of silly speculations: no one is divorcing anyone yet, no one is fighting over money & I have no plans to go to Australia. Enough!!" she wrote.
Warne was reportedly devastated, tweeting, “"No matter what anyone says if you know in your heart how you feel about anything or anyone who cares what people think/say!!!"
