SHILLONG, June 29 (NNN): The Naga Students’ Union Shillong (NSUS) in collaboration with the Naga Elders’ Forum, Shillong (NEFS) organized a gathering at Nagaland House in Shillong to pay their last respects to late Isak Chishi Swu who passed away on Tuesday.
Sumi Students’ Union, Shillong President Tiiko D Zhimo read out Swu’s biography while Sum i Christian Fellowship Pastor Mughahoto said a special prayer.
NSUS president, Viyie Kuotsu delivered the condolence message and pointed out that Swu dedicated his life for the Nagas. Meanwhile, NEFS president, Jolu Chophy said, “In his death, the Nagas have lost a great leader. He also proclaimed Nagaland for Christ to many nations around the world. Today is a turning point for the Naga brothers and sisters to unite together to achieve a goal and vision set by our leader for our betterment.”
