Kohima, November 22 (MExN): President of Naga People’s Front (NPF), Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu has removed Shilumar from the list of Central Office Bearers of NPF with immediate effect until further order.
The action was taken against him for “indulging in anti-party activities” and also failing to renew his Primary and Active Membership in the party, according to a press release from Dr. Shürhozelie.
The release said that the Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) of the party had issued show cause notice to Shilumar, Associate Press Secretary (Central) Vide No. DAC/SCN/2016 dated 23/5/2016 for failing to turn up three consecutive times in the Central Office Bearers’ meeting.
In his reply dated 1/6/2016, he had failed to give sufficient reasons for his continuous absence in the meeting and therefore, the DAC kept him under observation for few months, the release added.
“He was indulging in anti-party activities during the observation period. And he even failed to renew his Primary and Active Membership in the party,” Dr. Shürhozelie claimed.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the president of the NPF under Article V Section 9 read with provision in Article XIV Clause I Sub-Clause d (ii) of the Party Constitution, the action was taken.
