Dignitaries, winners and other participants of open road bicycle rally at Phek on November 4.
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): A one-day open road bicycle rally billed as ‘Rally of Phek’ took place today in commemoration with 50 years of Phek district.
Shiven bagged the champion title and awarded with Rs 70,000.
Thotmachan and Ronald stood 2nd and 3rd position and received Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively.
The event witnessed 43 participants.
Earlier, MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero flagged off the rally from Pfutsero and the rally culminated at Phek town.
Phek Deputy Commissioner Kuko Mero gave away prize to the winners.
S. Peter Trakha, District Tourism Officer delivered short speech while vote of thanks was proposed by Vezuhu Keyho, president Chakhesang Public Organisation.
The rally was organised by Phek District Golden Jubilee Event Committee and sponsored by Department of Tourism, Nagaland.
