Nagaland is a beautiful land gifted by the Almighty God. Thus it is the bounden duty of every Naga to protect and preserve it at all cost. Nagaland is a blessed land and it belongs to Nagas only and not to others.
Fifty-six years ago on this day under the aegis of the Naga National Council (NNC), the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) was established on 22nd March, 1956 at Parashen, Rengma Region, Nagaland through a Federation by the South-West Nagas and the so called free Nagas in the North-East. From this day onward we became a Republican Nation as Sovereign Nagaland. To this we are proud of it today. The “Sovereign Nagaland” of our nation which is being called by every Naga today is not because of what we have done today. Thus all the credit goes to our pioneer leaders who have selflessly sacrificed their precious lives in protecting our national right, lest we may be under the Indian Union today.
We have experience that some Indian sponsored Naga renegade groups are always pretending as nationalists and are still attempting to sell out the blood and tears of the Naga patriots to India the aggressor with the cheapest price. But India is now no longer to play such silly games against the Nagas and the NNC/FGN will never throw the right of the Nagas in the Ocean of Indian politics.
Therefore let us boldly face the challenges of the evil designs which may destroy the peace and integrity of our nation. This is the right time for every Naga to work hard and complete the unfinished task laid upon us by our forebears.
