Kohima Deputy Commissioner Thejawelie Gregory Sote today released a short story book entitled ‘Tefü Dzeda’.

Releasing the book, Sote appreciated the efforts of Prasielie Pienyü in re-publishing the aged old book for all to read and enjoy the short stories with moral. He expressed hope that the book will be useful for all age groups and would be included in school syllabus. The DC also wished that the English translation of the book translated from Greek would also be retrieved and re-published for the benefit of all.

Late Rheichalie Pienyü first translated Tefü Dzeda from Aesop’s Fables into Tenyidie, which were written in Greek language in the year 1904, said publisher of the book Prasielie Pienyü.  “This short story book contains 38 different stories, which illustrate a particular moral and teach a lesson to the reader,” said Prasielie, who is also the great grandson of Late Rheichalie. “Since it is a famous book of fables, some elderly people, scholars and well wishers requested to re-publish this short story book. I therefore, published the book in the original form and hope that the readers get benefit from it,” he said.

P. Khel Council chairman Kruyie Pienyü and Kohima District GB Association president Vineipra Pienyii also spoke on the occasion. Zeneituo Pienyü informed that the book priced at Rs. 100 is available at Peak Agency, near Baptist High, Kohima.
