Should retirement age for government employees be raised?

Those who voted ‘NO’ had this to say:

Definitely not! As it is, they have had the benefit for too long with vague dates of birth. Thanks for their service, but overstaying would be painful to the younger generation. Rather the retirement age should be brought down. As of now the retirement age is too high and the officers become unproductive.

In any case most of them are overage already, so why raise the retirement age. They should have been retired by now.
We need young people. 57 years is ideal. We do not want government servants who are past their prime mentally and physically. They stagnate the society. We want progressive, liberal, young and dynamic people to be top bureaucrats. Because, we need more fresh, dynamic, younger and energetic workers.

As far as the retirement age of government employees is concerned, it is better not to raise the age because we don’t have enough resources for the unemployed. This new policy will further worsen the problem of unemployment.

Those who voted ‘YES’ had this to say:

Why not? Almost 90 percent retires after 65 or more, so maybe we can raise the age bar.
