‘Shramdaan’ launched on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti

  Maligaon, October 2 (MExN):  As a mark of respect to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary, special cleanliness drive “Shramdaan" was launched at Eco Park, Amingaon on October 2. “Shramdaan" is a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a massive mass movement that seeks to create a clean India. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi’s heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary, stated a press release by S.K. Ojah, Sr. PRO/Const, Maligaon. All employees and officers of N F Railway (Construction), organization of Head Quarters participated in the cleanliness drive.   On the occasion N K Prasad, General Manager, N F Railway (Construction) offered Shramdaan as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Prasad planted a sapling at the premises of ECO Park at Amingaon  to convey the message of clean and green India. Other officers and employees also planted sapling at the Eco park. Prasad said that maintaining cleanliness is not the responsibility of safai karamcharis or the government alone but of all the employees and officers. He further appealed to employees, officers and their family to implement the vision and philosophy behind the movement launched by the Prime Minister of India to maintain hygiene and sanitation in the railway premises.   He further said that swachhta should become a social movement and awareness about cleanliness and sanitation should reach every corner of railway colonies as well as in railway premises.
