New Delhi, October 19 (IANS): Human Resource and Development Minister Kapil Sibal Wednesday called for a sustained campaign to create awareness for the Right to Education (RTE) Act. During a meeting with the state education ministers on the subject of community mobilisation and public awareness held here, Sibal underlined that the central and the state governments have to work together so that the RTE does not falter. Stating that 20 states have notified RTE rules, he pointed out that in states which have not done so, it is the children who are suffering. The RTE ensures education as a fundamental right to all children in the age group of 6-14 years.
